Who is Jesus?

Jesus lived approximately 2000 years ago and is the central figure in the Christian faith. Most of what we know about him comes from The Bible, though the historicity of Jesus is well-documented in other sources and is not in dispute.

Regardless of religious perspective, most scholars would agree that Jesus is the single most important individual in history. His teachings and his followers (the Christian Church) have had a greater impact on modern civilization than any other individual or organization.

The Bible teaches that Jesus was God who became a man in order to redeem humanity and the universe from the catostrophic impact of human sin. He accomplished redemption through his substitutionary death on a cross. After being in the grave for three days, Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today. He is present and working among us now through the Holy Spirit. Someday Jesus will come back to bring final redemption to all of creation and be acknowledged as Lord of creation, history, and all people.

This web site is dedicated to the study of the person, life, and ministry of Jesus while he was among us in bodily form approximately 2,000 years ago. We believe as The Bible teaches, however, that Jesus is alive and working among us today. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and your sins and that life and forgiveness are found only in a personal relationship with him.

If you are interested in knowing more about Jesus, we hope you will look around the site and learn more. You are welcome to contact us by email at info@interactivelifeofjesus.com if you wish to know more about becoming a follower of Jesus. We hope you will discover as we have that Jesus is worthy of our lives and our allegiance. He still loves. He still forgives. He still brings healing and reconciliation. He is and always will be Lord.
